Donna Henshaw
Donna is the director of Nuture Within Nature and has spent her whole life working with children and young adults with additional needs. Many of these years in her local primary school and following this an alternative outdoor education provider for excluded children. She is a kind and caring practitioner and realised how education within nature can transform young people’s mindsets. She knew she could make a real difference to young people’s lives and began to put a plan into action. She went onto to study at University and achieved diploma and and a CertHE in child and youth studies. Then went on to achieve a Forest School leader qualification.
Nick Fletton
Nick started his working days at sixteen serving the British army. These roots gave him a passion for being in the outdoors and learning skills to adapt in all conditions and he loves to share these skills and experiences with others. Making him a true asset for young people. Then for the last three years he has worked on a one to one with a young person with additional needs. This experience has given him a good understanding of working with young people with additional needs.
Matthew Hunt
Matt has spent twenty years working in education providing support for students at largely graduate and post graduate level. His field was/is in geology which has a significant emphasis on working outdoors, exploring the environment, and building confidence in students to understand the world around them. Matt has been first aid trained for over eighteen years. Has has attained a Level 3 Risk Assessment qualification and Fieldwork Risk Assessment. Matt is also a D1 PSV qualified minibus driver. His love of the outdoors and the education of young people has enabled him to participate in fieldwork throughout the UK and abroad.
Shaun Grainger MSc BSc PGCE
Shaun has spent the last 20 years working in eduction. Nearly all of these years working in FE colleges with SEN students of all abilities. From pre entry students all the way up to level five second year HND students. Specialises in Computing and Mathematics. Has a genuine love for the outdoors and nature.
Adan Henshaw
Adan is our student studying a level one in Forest School and is also starting his level two sports leadership award. He has experience at volunteering with struggling teens and has gained his John Muir award in this role.
Alicia Henshaw
Alicia has a lot of experience with supporting neurodivergent people. She is brilliant at engaging with young people with her creativity and relatable topics of intrest.
